PMA Companies congratulates our client, Clemens Food Group, for winning a Theodore Roosevelt Award (Teddy Award) for Workers’ Compensation Excellence. Clemens produces some of the most trusted brands in the food industry, including Hatfield Meats and Farm Promise.
Given annually by Risk & Insurance magazine since 1994, the Teddy Award was named for President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, who introduced one of the first pieces of significant workers’ compensation legislation in the U.S.
Criteria for winning a Teddy Award include developing a workers’ compensation program that achieves measurable performance results, as well as creativity and resourcefulness in solving workers’ compensation challenges. Winners are selected by a panel of industry professionals, including past Teddy Award winners.
Top winners participate in Steal These Ideas! Teddy-Award Winning Employers Showcase Their Successful Strategies session on November 7th at the National Workers’ Compensation & Disability Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
